City in eastern Saudi Arabia with 210,000 inhabitants (2009 estimate), in the Eastern region, on the Persian Gulf.
Thuqbah is a district of the metropolitan area of Dammam-Khobar, largely functioning as a residential city.
It is well-connected with other urban centres by highways, as well as the causeway to the island state of Bahrain.
