Ruler of Assyria ca. 1906-1867 BCE, 29 years. He was son of king of Ashur, Ilushuma, but it is him that is defined as the first king of the Old Assyrian period, although there are no accounts of territorial advances during his reign. He is noted for his building projects, building great temples in Ashur, which may very well be considered a reflection of wealth and stability. He was succeeded by his brother, Ikunum.
