The presence of different forms of Arabic in this little country is both a reflection of history and modern immigration; Gulf and Nadji are original to Kuwait. South Levantine comes largely from Palestinian foreign workers, Egyptian Arabic has arrived with immigration from Egypt.
Mehri is the language of certain Omani immigrants.
The group of others include several immigrant groups, like Balochis, Indians, Pakistanis and Philippines.
