Mount Hermon

jabalu sh-shaykh

Mountain in the Anti-Lebanon mountain range, rising between Syria and Lebanon, although the Syrian part is under Israeli occupation.
This mountain marks the end of the Anti-Lebanon range. It has three peaks, of which the highest is 2,814 metres. Religious buildings have been constructed on the slopes of the mountain, representing Assyrian and Greek religion.
