Ramses 8
Other spellings: Rameses, Ramesses

King of Ancient Egypt (1129- 1126 BCE), the 7th ruler of the 20th Dynasty. His name was not Ramses. This was a name/title he took when assuming power.
His reign was short, and little is recorded of it. According to some theories, Ramses 8 reigned before Ramses 7. At least this seems to be the case in the list of princes at Medinet Habu in Thebes, although economic documents from the period indicate otherwise.
Ramses 8 is only mentioned in a stela and on a scarab. No tomb has ever been located if there was one, it would have been located in the Valley of the Kings.
