Some egyptologists rank the burial chamber of this pyramid as the second finest of all, second only to Khufu'. I disagree, I found it to be crude. The burial chamber of the The Red Pyramid in Dahshur is built after fairly similar patterns, and has a much nicer finish. The chamber is set directly on the ground, but the corridor digs into the ground, so that you will have to climb a staircase to enter. The entire experience is quite something, there is very little air down here and terribly hot.
