Content; what can you write about?

At the moment, LookLex is devoted to two types of publications. One is an encyclopaedia, which in style and organization is close to other encyclopaedias, like Britannica, Wikipedia and Encarta. The other is travel guides, by which we have a rather unique method of presentation, which we call zoom-guides. More on that below.
By joining the LookLex Project, you can cover as wide or small field of subjects as you can practically cover, and we have no objections if you write for both the encyclopeadia and the travel guides. The only thing, is that everything you deliver, is fit for a complete article.
The encyclopaedia is organized so that each article answers a specific subject, and when the text of it connects to other subjects, this is done by hyperlinks. Each article shall always be as short as possible, it shall be written in the easiest possible language; yet its content shall be as complete as possible and the language shall be as precise as possible.
Travel guides are designed that you readers can begin with choosing a certain country, then use the list of desinations, an interactive map, or introductory articles for specific subjects (like "Ancient culture", "Beaches and islands" or "Golf" to mention some) to zoom in on a specific town or resort. Then, provided that that place has several points of interest, the reader can zoom furhter in to learn about each such different spot. By using an interactive map, readers shall easily be able to "move" around the region, in order to, f.x. plan day trips.
At the moment LookLex has partically complete travel guides for the North African countries, and is about to publish travel guides for the Middle East eventually. But the rest of the world... that is open for stakes.
All authors will be given clear and easy templates to help them through the writing process. This is vital, good writers can have very different ideas about how things should be presented, but when contributing to a joint venture like LookLex, some individually has to be curbed in order to create a homogenous web resource. Yet, great ideas for better presentation will always be most welcome.
