There isn't much to see in Asni in terms of historical monuments, or cute village streets. But the adjacent river valley near Moulay Brahim is quite idyllic, and practically free from other travellers.
The result is that life goes on all around you, with women washing clothes without wearing their outer robes, like they always do when they visit other villages or cities than their own. Kids run between the houses, playing and shouting, and old men stop to chat with you. Most of the time they prefer to do it in their own language.
