Morocco has had big plans with the large football stadium in Laayoune. With 30,000 "seats" it was intended to be big enough for World Cup (Morocco had serious hopes of getting the 1996 games). But honestly, the place is still in desperate need for decoration, there is nothing but concrete here.

I got to watch a game here one Sunday in December 1998. There are few differences between football enthusiasts here and anywhere else, but I did expect a little bit more African enthusiasm among the audience.
