Located at the most dramatic spot in Larache, on the cliffs, overlooking the Atlantic and the river valley of Loukos, it is a tragedy that this 16th centurt Portuguese fort is totally unattended by local authorities. Year by year bits fall off, and a local monument is changed into dust and sand. The only thing that gives protection to the walls and floors, is the garbage.

Kids play outside the fort. The broken glass and rusty tins are dangerous to barefooted kids running around.

Imagine this place brought back to old shape and colours.
