CHENINI:
Cave houses

The houses of Chenini have two parts, one which has been dug into soft parts of the mountain, using the hard parts as floor and ceiling. Outside, there are sometimes a few more rooms, and almost always a walled courtyard, known as hosh. This was commonly used to keep animals.
Many of the doors are made from palm trunk and a few of the homes still have decorations on walls and in the ceiling.
