HERGLA:
Tiny white village
Hergla, Tunisia

The sweet and beautiful village of Hergla is, believe it or not, not mentioned in the excellent Lonely Planet's guide for Tunisia. Which makes coming here almost like discovering a little secret.
But Hergla could be next big thing on the Tunisian "riviera", although the beach is far behind the standard of its twin towns north and south.
Walking through the attractive parts of Hergla is really done in just 10 to 20 minutes, and there are fairly few cafes or restaurants where you can stop and enjoy the moment. But do go, and calm down. Hergla is probably one of the last of its kind. In Tunisia, as well as in the rest of Mediterranean Africa.
